Play. Gather. Grow.

We’re a group of your neighbors, parents, and business owners working to revitalize Olive Jones Park, the city park adjacent to Randall School on the near-west side of Madison.  What a fantastic neighborhood and community!

Together, we have succeeded in completing phases 1 & 2 of this award winning revitalization project:

In phase 1, we added an innovative and challenging new play structure to the Randall School playground, in the summer of 2010.

In phase 2, we added smaller equipment for younger neighborhood children, an outdoor amphitheater for school and after-school performances, and more attractive fences, in the summer of 2011.

New in 2012! phase 3 we plan to add new fencing around entire park, improve the pedestrian entrances and ADA accessibility, rebuild and beautify the retaining walls next to the school, and repave the play surface.

This public-private partnership has been led by Alder Shiva Bidar-Sielaff and Principal John Wallace, we received the generous support  of the Franklin-Randall Parent Teacher Organization, the City of Madison, five corporations (Group Health Cooperative, Spectrum Brands, MG&E, Meriter Hospital and UW Hospital and Clinics), the Regent and Vilas Neighborhood Association, and over 300 individual and business donors.

Your contribution is important. Please continue to support our efforts through donations, word of mouth, and fundraising ideas. It takes a village!

Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Randall School – Olive Jones Park Fund, through the Foundation for Madison’s Public Schools. Because every neighborhood deserves a space to PLAY, GATHER, and GROW.

We won Volunteer Project of 2010 from Madison Parks Foundation!
